Be carefull

As you know someone has been trying to get people to go to a site that might harm there computer, they are placing a comment on a blog then asking you to click on their link. For that reason I have set the comment on my blog to go to the Dashboard, where I will publish them if they are OK. Sorry to do this but it will help us all.

This arrow is believed to have been placed here by the Anastasi (the ancient ones) it points to another picture 90 miles across the desert.

Hi-Jolly

Around Quartzsite AZ you find quite a few bits of history; one such is Hi-Jolly. He was brought over to train camels for our military. You will find his story here, and also a monument to him.

The Lost Palms of AZ

We went on a hike of about a mile to see the Lost Palms. They are a grove of Sand Palms that are in the mountains close to Quartzsite AZ. They are native Palms, they have not been planted, there are a lot of Palms in AZ, but these are special in the fact man did not plant them and as you can see they are in a crack in the mountains. The first picture shows the mountains where they are found, the second show the hikers minus one; they are Wilma, Laddie, & Lake all Davis's. The last one shows the Sand Palms themselves, you can find other small bunches of Palms & also a few singles.
In order to see the grove of Palms or get pictures you have to be in place around noon (11:.00 am -2:00pm.

Air Card

As you must know we had trouble with our computer, or our air card this trip. We were without the net for most of the trip. We had a great trip and are looking forward to our next trip, and yes we have our air card working just fine, I am using it now.
Next time which will be in early May we should be doing a lot more posting. Stay tuned.
